This Privacy Policy explains how OwnerTenant (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the House Management mobile app (package in.ownertenant.app), the website at ownertenant.in, and related services (together, the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

• Account details — name, email address, phone number (if provided), role (owner or tenant), and authentication identifiers from email or supported social sign-in providers.
• Property and membership data — estates, houses, member assignments, notices, issues, documents you upload, billing records you enter, vacancy ads, and related operational content.
• Subscription and purchase data — plan tier, expiry, promo redemptions, and store transaction identifiers needed to verify in-app purchases. We do not receive your full payment card number; payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Security and session data — signed web URL keys, device or session tokens, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Usage and device information — app version, platform, approximate diagnostics, and crash or error signals that help us keep the Service reliable.

2. How we use information

• Provide estate and tenant workflows (bills, members, notices, vacancy marketplace, and documents).
• Authenticate users, protect accounts, and validate secure web links.
• Manage subscriptions, entitlements, and promo code redemptions.
• Respond to support requests and communicate service-related updates.
• Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Other members of your estate — owners and allotted tenants may see content required for shared property management (for example bills, notices, or vacancy contacts you choose to expose).
• Service providers — hosting, email, authentication, and analytics partners who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
• App stores — Apple and Google for purchase verification and account-related store requirements.
• Legal requests — when required by law, regulation, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.

4. Data retention

We keep account and property data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, dispute resolution, billing history limits tied to your plan, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; some records may be retained where we are legally required to do so.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please keep your login credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

6. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for adults managing property relationships. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

7. International users

The Service may be hosted or processed in India or other locations where our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

8. Your choices

• Update profile and property information inside the app where available.
• Disconnect social sign-in or request account closure via support.
• Control store subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
