These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the House Management mobile app (package in.ownertenant.app), the website at ownertenant.in, and related services (together, the “Service”) provided by OwnerTenant (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

House Management helps property owners manage estates, houses, members, bills, notices, documents, and vacancy ads, and helps tenants view home-related information and optionally browse vacancy listings. Features available to you depend on your role and subscription plan.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
• You are responsible for accurate registration details and for keeping login credentials secure.
• You must not share accounts in a way that violates plan limits or compromises other users’ data.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear abusive, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms.

3. Roles and responsibilities

• Owners are responsible for the accuracy of property, member, billing, and vacancy content they publish, and for obtaining any consents needed to invite members or share contact details.
• Tenants / members may access information shared for their allotment and must use that information only for legitimate housing-related purposes.
• OwnerTenant provides software tools only. We are not a party to lease agreements, rent collection disputes, or other legal relationships between owners and tenants unless expressly stated in writing.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and promo codes

• Paid plans (such as Basic, Premium / Pro, and View Ads) may be offered through Apple App Store, Google Play, or promo codes we issue.
• Prices, billing periods, and entitlements are shown in the app or store listing at purchase time. Taxes may apply.
• Free trials and promo redemptions are subject to stated limits and may be revoked if misused or obtained fraudulently.
• Allotted estate members typically inherit the owner’s estate plan features and do not need a separate owner-plan purchase. View Ads is a tenant marketplace add-on where offered.
• Manage, cancel, or request refunds for store purchases according to Apple or Google policies. Promo-based access ends according to the redemption rules shown at redeem time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or misuse vacancy ads or contact channels.
• Attempt unauthorized access to other users’ data, APIs, or secure web links.
• Interfere with Service operation, reverse engineer beyond what applicable law allows, or scrape at scale.
• Use the Service to spam, harass, or misrepresent your identity or property offerings.

6. Content and intellectual property

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service. The House Management name, branding, software, and site design remain owned by OwnerTenant or its licensors. You may not copy or redistribute them except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy of user-entered records, or that the Service will meet every business or legal need.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OwnerTenant and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim or (b) INR 2,000, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold OwnerTenant harmless from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms, change features, or discontinue parts of the Service. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. If you do not agree, stop using the Service. We may suspend or end access for breach, risk, or operational reasons.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
